As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor flow. You will communicate clearly with tenants, guests, and onsite teams while documenting observations and responding to concerns with professionalism. Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the property, including common areas, parking areas, loading or dock areas, and the exterior perimeter as assigned.
- Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry and exit, verifying credentials when required, and directing visitors according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including responding to alarms, disturbances, and calls for assistance, and requesting additional support when needed.
- Complete detailed shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate notable conditions to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership, and help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence.
