Job Description As a Security Guard - Perimeter Foot Patrol in Summit, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with site teams while documenting observations and/or incidents. Requirements
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial office property.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and notifying the appropriate contacts per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, lobbies, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, assisting with visitor direction, badging procedures when assigned, and/or reporting maintenance or hazard concerns to property management.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate with site leadership and/or local authorities as needed, and support security-related operations during drills and/or emergencies.
