As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist shoppers and tenants with strong customer service and communication. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, entrances, loading areas, back-of-house corridors, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or policy issues.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including responding to alarms, disturbances, lost and found reports, and requests for assistance.
Monitor access points and retail traffic flow, help to maintain orderly lines and/or queues, and assist with closing and opening routines as directed by site instructions.
Document security-related activities and observations in written and/or electronic reports, communicate key information to site management and Allied Universal supervision, and support law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when requested.
