As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to alarms and/or calls for assistance, and deliver clear, professional customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, including checking identification, managing visitor sign-in, and directing traffic and deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with site contacts, and documenting actions taken.
  • Operate security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, radios, and access control, and complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and patrol logs.
