As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-traffic retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will assist shoppers and tenants with directions and questions, document observations, and communicate clearly with onsite partners. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card and/or security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall setting.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, retail corridors, entrances, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, and promptly report observations through required documentation, notifications, and/or radio communications.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, access control issues, and coordination with site management and/or public responders as directed.
• Support loss prevention and customer experience efforts by providing a visible presence, offering directions and assistance, and helping to deter prohibited behavior while maintaining professional conduct.
