Job Description As a Security Guard - Tech Property Patrol Driver in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech and media locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and routine patrols. This is a driving post, requiring coverage of various sites as needed. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and uphold our values of agility, reliability, and integrity while contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all.

Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during shifts.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific protocols.
