About The Position

As a Security Guard - TWIC Site Patrol Driver in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy utilities location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will conduct routine foot and driving patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, observe and report unusual activity, and support access control and visitor interactions. You will deliver strong customer service and clear communication while working with a reliable, agile team that acts with integrity and teamwork every day.

Requirements

  • A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facility areas, including buildings, yards, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, deliveries, and contractor activity; document visitor and vehicle activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, and/or operational disruptions; request assistance from supervisors and/or local responders when appropriate.
  • Complete security-related reports and shift logs, communicate observations to site representatives, and report maintenance hazards, lighting outages, and/or barrier issues that could help to deter unauthorized access.
