Job Description As a Security Guard - Unarmed Driver Rounds in Murray Hill, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service requests with clear communication and professionalism. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will support site operations through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach while delivering a strong customer experience. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.60 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Have supervisory experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office, lab, and data and/or network areas, as well as around the exterior perimeter, documenting observations per post orders.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials and following badging and/or sign-in procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, notifications, and coordinating with onsite contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Complete required reports such as patrol logs, incident documentation, and shift turnover notes, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site stakeholders.
