About The Position
As a Security Guard - Unarmed - Overnights in Elk Grove Village, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with onsite teams and visitors, document observations, and respond to situations with professionalism. Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and badge-controlled entries, and report irregularities per site procedure.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate contacts when escalation is needed.
- Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant information during post transitions to support continuity of operations.
