As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, log visitors and deliveries, and monitor activity to help support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter incidents, and provide strong customer service and communication to employees and guests. You will work with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.01 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Requirements

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, including verifying identification, issuing badges, and maintaining visitor logs.
• Monitor entry and exit points in a manufacturing and industrial location to help to deter unauthorized access, including screening deliveries, coordinating with receiving, and directing traffic to approved areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken per post orders.
• Complete required reports and security-related documentation such as shift activity logs, access control records, and incident reports with accurate and timely details.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, staging areas, and the perimeter as assigned, observing for unusual conditions and reporting concerns to supervision and/or site contacts.
