As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site staff, respond to alarms and calls for service, and deliver a strong customer service experience. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, location policies, and post orders, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, yards, dock areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unsafe conditions.
• Control access at entrances, gates, and shipping and receiving areas by verifying identification, checking appointments and/or bills of lading as directed, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation for shift activities, patrol observations, and incidents, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
