Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, quick problem solving, and professional customer service. Requirements

  • Must be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting hazards, and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorization when required, assist with visitor management, and direct individuals to appropriate departments in a professional manner.
  • Document routine activity, irregular conditions, and incident details in written reports, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
