As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and document activity while communicating clearly with site teams. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to identify and report security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs, and directing authorized traffic to the correct locations.
• Monitor access control systems, cameras, and alarm indicators; document unusual activity and report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting evacuation, sheltering, and/or other utility site response protocols as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, and designated utility assets to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations, with working conditions that may vary by location.
