About The Position

As a Security Guard - Visitor Screener Driver in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as a Screener, supporting smooth operations through access control, credential checks, and screening of people and property entering the site. You will stay visible, monitor activity, document security-related information, and communicate clearly with team members and site leadership. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, drivers, and/or deliveries at designated access points by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing individuals to the proper area in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and escalating concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as entrances, outbound and inbound lanes, and perimeter routes, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
