As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access concerns. You will document observations, communicate clearly with onsite teams, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation when appropriate and timely notification to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access through designated entry points by verifying authorization, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing visitors and contractors to appropriate locations.
  • Document patrols, access activity, and incidents in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate observed security-related concerns to management for follow-up.
