Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months of prior work experience
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Meet state or provincial health related requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop positive working relationships with residents and staff
• Understand fully the fire, safety, and emergency procedures and follow established policies and procedures for completing forms
• Make routine rounds at frequent intervals throughout the building and grounds, noting any abnormal situations
• Assist Assisted Living personnel in emergency situations
• Ensure that offices and doorways are locked and/or unlocked as needed
• Seve as backup to community personnel as needed or if a nurse is dispatched on an emergency during the night
