About The Position
As a Security Guard - Retail Site - Full Time in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, assist with customer questions, and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts. Requirements
- Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, tenants, associates, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, common areas, entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards; report observations and help to deter unwanted activity through high-visibility presence and professional communication.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with onsite management, and requesting law enforcement and/or medical support as needed.
- Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol activity, and customer interactions; maintain accurate logs and communicate pertinent information during shift turnovers.
