As a Security Officer: Patrol Driving Role in Goleta, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, perform security-related checks, respond to alarms and/or incidents, and assist employees and visitors with professional customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating concerns and coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and control entry and exit of employees, contractors, and deliveries per post orders, including verifying identification and/or required authorization.
  • Complete detailed patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate observed hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy concerns to site leadership.
