Job Description Now Hiring Full Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved. Location: St. Louis Metro, Illinois Shift: Evening and Overnight Shifts Available Pay: $19.50 / Hour - Weekly Pay Preferred Skills : Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds

Requirements

• 3 years combined law enforcement, security or military experience OR a college degree
• Computer Literacy
• 21+ for Licensing
• Have 3 or more years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related policies at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, check identification and/or credentials as required, and help to maintain orderly entry and exit in accordance with post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or notifying Allied Universal supervision per site procedures.
• Complete routine reports and logs, document incidents, and communicate observations to onsite staff and/or Allied Universal leadership.
