About The Position

The State College Area School District is searching for an anticipated full-time Security Guard at the State College Area High School. This person will work with students, parents, and visitors, in addition to faculty and administrators. The Security Guard must be able to develop positive relationships/interactions with young adults while managing difficult situations with skill, patience, and diplomacy. Contributing to a positive school culture is paramount. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently as well as within a team on projects and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of situations and confidential matters with discretion. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. This position will also require working various after school events including but not limited to: sporting events, prom, graduation, and community events.
