About The Position

The Access Control Foreman / Security Installation Foreman is the site lead for our commercial construction installations. The foreman understands the construction and installation schedules, identifying critical milestone and predecessors impacting security scope delivery. They provide direction and oversight for the installation crew, performing QA/QC and safety management daily. They understand the Project Manager’s direction for delivery and provide daily updates to Project Manager on project progress. Communicates with trade partners and other internal LINX teams, conducting site walks and attending necessary meetings for coordination and delivery of project scope. Requirements

  • 7 years’ experience in COMMERCIAL SECURITY INTEGRATION.
  • Strong understanding of electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and system networking.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, door hardware schedules, and technical specifications.
  • OSHA 30 certification required; additional manufacturer certifications (e.g., Genetec, Software House, Avigilon) are a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and team leadership skills with experience managing subcontractors, trade partners, and customer relationships.
  • Ability to lift/carry/setup a 50 pound box or ladder.
  • Must own low voltage tools (snips, strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches)
  • Able to work 2nd/3rd shift, overtime, and under pressure.
  • Must pass a 7-year background check, drug screen, and physical.
  • Requires valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance
  • Professional working proficiency in English

Responsibilities

  • Supports site manpower planning and effectively manages labor and materials to ensure timely project completion in coordination with project management.
  • Interprets and applies project drawings, cabling standards, wiring schematics, relay logic, and electrical circuitry with a high level of technical proficiency.
  • Leads by example, mentoring and training team members to support skill development and career growth.
  • Oversees daily work of multiple technicians, ensuring proper delegation, supervision, and coordination of tools and materials for successful installation.
  • Delivers work on schedule while maintaining compliance with HR, safety, and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures all work is performed according to contractual scope, technical specifications, and quality standards.
  • Maintains professional working proficiency in English to ensure clear communication and effective coordination on job sites.
