About The Position

We are looking for motivated individuals who enjoy working with their hands, meeting new people, solving problems, and providing excellent customer service. This is an on-the-go field technician position, and you will be driving throughout the Janesville area installing security systems for homeowners. You’ll also have the opportunity to upsell additional equipment, earning commission on those sales — a great way to increase your weekly income. No previous security installation experience is required. If you have a strong work ethic, good attitude, and willingness to learn, this could be a great entry point into the industry.

Requirements

Strong communication and customer service skills

Reliability and punctuality
Ability to think quickly, adapt, and problem-solve
Comfortable using common hand tools
Experience in trades, construction, cabling, landscaping, warehouse, or related physical work is helpful
Your own vehicle to drive from site to site (within a few zip codes of where you live)
Your own tools, including:
6 ft ladder (foldable ladder recommended for sedan drivers)
Power drill
Screwdrivers
Snips/wire cutters
Hand sheetrock saw

Responsibilities

Installing and programming residential alarm systems, CCTV (IP & analog), DVR units, and access control equipment
Installing motion detectors, window and door sensors, smoke detectors, and other security components
Troubleshooting system issues and verifying proper functionality
Working directly with customers inside their homes
Training homeowners on how to use their new system
Completing required job documentation
Maintaining accurate inventory of equipment
Ensuring high-quality installation work and customer satisfaction
