Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company with the mission to be the world's most trusted driver. Since its start as the Google Self-Driving Car Project in 2009, Waymo has focused on building the Waymo Driver—The World's Most Experienced Driver™—to improve access to mobility while saving thousands of lives now lost to traffic crashes. The Waymo Driver powers Waymo’s fully autonomous ride-hail service and can also be applied to a range of vehicle platforms and product use cases. The Waymo Driver has provided over ten million rider-only trips, enabled by its experience autonomously driving over 100 million miles on public roads and tens of billions in simulation across 15+ U.S. states. Waymo's cars may be self-driving, but our security program is steered by experts like you. Safety is our foundation and is at the heart of everything we do. As a Security Investigator, you will lead complex and sensitive internal investigations that protect Waymo’s people, property, and physical assets. In this role, you will serve as a neutral, objective fact-finder, navigating issues ranging from Code of Conduct violations and physical security breaches to complex property theft and workplace violence incidents. Working in close partnership with Legal, HR, and Safety, you will ensure every investigation is conducted with the highest degree of integrity, resilience, and professional rigor, while maintaining strict compliance with jurisdictional requirements like California SB 553. This role will be hybrid in the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area. This role reports to the Head of Security Operations Center.
