Your ‘day to day’: The Manufacturing Security Manager will manage a team of security personnel and oversee all security related activities within the United States manufacturing sites. This person will act as the key security contact for site management and deliver security risk management for all manufacturing sites in the United States.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum 7-10 years in a corporate and operational security environment and a minimum of 5+ years as a manager.
  • Developed knowledge of specialist security systems, hands-on experience in dealing with national and international security issues
  • MS Office and Power BI are a plus
  • Proven leadership experience of security teams working at country level is vital
  • Able to inspire and motivate teams to achieve complex tasks
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, a must.
  • Fluent in English
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Professional security certifications and membership of accredited security institutions are beneficial but not required

Responsibilities

  • Lead the United States manufacturing security team in accordance with Corporate strategy and Company commitments.
  • Perform Mid-year and Annual Performance Review.
  • Ensure the team organization has the right skills and has received sufficient training to perform their job.
  • Performs administrative tasks including developing policies / documenting activities which are consistent with security best practices. Interact with security counterparts from Owensboro and North Caroline, to standardize security practices in North America.
  • Develop the skills and capabilities of direct reports through regular coaching and mentoring, to raise the necessary skills and knowledge in the US Security organization.
  • Foster a culture of strength through diversity within the Security Team, leading by example to demonstrate the highest values of PMI
  • Evaluate emerging business and operational models for potential Security risk exposure and gaps; highlight risks/exposures with site management, the Sr Security Manager, and other Security & Market Safety stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve Security issues within the manufacturing organization.
  • Maintain situational awareness of the country, including external and internal risk exposure to inform business decision-making processes. Share pertinent threat intelligence with the correct internal stakeholders
  • Maintain regular liaison with manufacturing management, other stakeholders, and functional peers to align Security & Market Safety strategies and service levels with business affiliate strategy and objectives.
  • Prepare and maintain an adequate budget to deliver the annual manufacturing security team objectives with the buy in of site leadership. Effectively manage a T&E budget to ensure coverage of multiple sites across the United States without cost over-run.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of Security & Market Safety-related incident and events reporting requirements.
  • Review/consolidate related metrics and KPI, to provide focused and detailed reports; monitor atmospherics and escalate trends and critical issues to appropriate levels of management.
  • Ensure compliance with State and National legislation on security measures for sites and facilities.
  • Develop, implement and manage test emergency response protocols in order to protect people, business, assets and reputation from natural and man-made disasters.
  • Review and keep up-to-date protocols on a set basis. Ability to mobilize as a part of a security/safety response team to incidents / events.
  • Select, appoint, manage and oversee local third-party service providers in conjunction with procurement and Sr Security Manager.
  • Ensure third party service provider's performance consistently meets all PMI requirements and standards, by developing a comprehensive KPI measurement and monitoring system, regular performance review, and effective reward/penalty mechanism, while at the same time maintaining effective coordination and service delivery.
