As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a government location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor processing, and conduct routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, identification checks, badging, and visitor management protocols.
  • Monitor entry points, screening areas, and/or lobby activity to help to deter unauthorized access, and report irregular conditions per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal staff and/or local emergency services as directed.
  • Operate and observe security-related systems such as CCTV, intrusion alarms, radios, and access control software, and communicate status updates to leadership as required.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs regarding access activity, incidents, and/or policy violations, and assist with administrative security-related tasks in accordance with government location requirements.
