As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet tenants and visitors, and support orderly lobby traffic. You will conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help deter incidents, document activity, and communicate clearly with property staff and responders. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity while delivering a people-first experience through teamwork and strong customer service.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access requirements at a commercial property location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized guests to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems for irregular activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry by addressing concerns in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, offices, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance issues and/or policy violations through approved reporting channels.
