As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support visitor processing, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will maintain a professional, visible presence, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and document observations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
  • Staff access control points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and directing authorized personnel to the appropriate areas.
  • Control vehicle and delivery access by confirming scheduled inbound and outbound activity, checking driver documentation, coordinating dock and/or yard entry with site contacts, and documenting access events per post orders.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and communications systems, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while completing accurate reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, break areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, watching for conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
