Security Officer - Access Control Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy transportation location, you will manage entry points, verify identification, monitor cameras and alarms, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with drivers, staff, and visitors while documenting activity and responding to concerns with integrity. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and access control procedures at a transportation location.
- Control entry and exit by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials when authorized, checking deliveries and pickups, and maintaining accurate access logs and/or visitor records.
- Monitor CCTV and access control systems, report security-related concerns, and help to deter unauthorized entry by communicating issues promptly to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including activating emergency response activities as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, docks, and perimeter points as assigned, noting hazards, damaged property, and unusual activity and documenting observations in required reports.
