About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Overnights in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a tech and media location, you will support access control by greeting employees and guests, verifying credentials, managing visitor check-in, and monitoring entry points using computer-based tools. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents while providing clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, vendors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and media location.
  • Control access at entrances and restricted areas by checking identification, issuing and/or collecting badges, managing visitor logs, and directing guests to authorized destinations.
  • Monitor access control systems, alarms, and cameras as assigned, documenting irregular activity and reporting maintenance issues that may impact security-related operations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency services as needed and completing detailed reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or other policy violations.
