As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, welcome employees and visitors, and support orderly deliveries and contractor check-ins. You will conduct routine rounds nearby, document activity, and communicate clearly with site leadership and your team. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a food and beverage location.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by checking identification, confirming authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing deliveries and contractors to the proper check-in process.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor and document security-related activity using visitor logs, access logs, and/or camera and alarm systems, and communicate irregularities per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including parking areas, loading docks, and receiving areas, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
