As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will focus on access control by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, managing entry logs, and coordinating with site teams to support smooth operations. You will conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with drivers, employees, and leadership. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, vendors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at gates and entry points by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or shipping documents, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining required access logs.
• Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer activity, including coordinating with dispatch and dock personnel, documenting arrivals and departures, and reporting discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and contacting emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checking doors, dock areas, and restricted zones; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
