About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Walworth, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced food and beverage location where you will focus on access control, helping manage entry points, visitor check-in, and badge verification. You will conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, document activity using computer and/or tablet tools, and provide clear, courteous communication to employees and guests. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors at a food and beverage production and distribution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate access control by checking identification, confirming authorization for entry, issuing temporary visitor credentials, and directing visitors to designated check-in areas and/or escorts per site requirements.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, gates, and delivery areas for irregular activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and report concerns according to post orders and escalation guidelines.
  • Document and communicate security-related activities including visitor logs, truck and driver logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs using written reports and/or electronic systems.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and local responders as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
