As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will help manage site entry and exit, verify credentials, monitor activity, and maintain clear logs and reports. You will remain visible at key points, conduct routine rounds as needed, and communicate professionally with employees, contractors, and visitors. Requirements

• Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Control access at gates, lobbies, and/or designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, coordinate with site contacts for access approvals, and report suspicious or unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and assisting responding personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards, irregularities, and policy violations.
