You will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage badges and visitor logs, and monitor entry points and camera systems for security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter incidents, and communicate clearly with site leaders. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Control access at vehicle and/or pedestrian entry points by verifying identification and authorization, managing visitor check-in, and issuing temporary credentials per site policy.
- Monitor and document inbound and outbound traffic including employees, contractors, vendors, and deliveries, maintaining accurate logs and reporting discrepancies per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
