As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy transportation location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, and guide employees, passengers, and vendors to the right areas. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned zones, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and document activity with clear communication. Requirements

• A guard card and/or applicable license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, vendors, and staff by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies at a transportation location.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing badges and/or passes, managing visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to the appropriate areas.
• Screen and monitor incoming deliveries and service providers per site guidelines, including coordinating with operations staff when access is not authorized or documentation is incomplete.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities and notifying the appropriate personnel per protocol.
• Conduct security-related checks of access-controlled areas, monitor cameras and/or alarms as assigned, and document observations and incident reports to help to deter unauthorized access.
