Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in El Paso, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, verifying credentials, logging visitors and deliveries, and coordinating with onsite teams to support smooth operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at gates, lobbies, and/or guard shacks by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, managing visitor logs, and directing inbound and outbound traffic for a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen deliveries and pickups by confirming appointments, checking documentation, coordinating with warehouse staff, and reporting suspicious or unusual activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, notifying site leadership and/or Allied Universal management, and supporting response teams as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, trailer yards, and perimeter areas as assigned, and complete required reports and security-related documentation.
