Security Officer Access Control Full-Time

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Ashland City, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced manufacturing location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, greet employees and visitors, and support security-related screening and badge processes. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce incidents, and document activity with clear communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, including verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, and directing guests to check-in locations.
- Monitor entry and exit points at an industrial manufacturing location, helping to deter unauthorized access by conducting screening, checking credentials, and controlling vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow.
- Maintain accurate security-related documentation such as visitor logs, delivery and shipping receiving records, key and badge accountability forms, and incident reports per Allied Universal and site policy.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, watching for irregular conditions, open or unsecured doors, and other security-related concerns.
