As an Allied Universal Officer at a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage access control by verifying credentials, issuing badges, and directing visitors and contractors to the right check-in points. You will complete routine patrols of assigned areas, monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents, and document concerns with clear communication. Bring strong customer service and teamwork as you act with integrity in a caring, reliable culture.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining logs, and directing individuals to the proper check-in locations.
  • Screen vehicles, deliveries, and vendors at designated access points, coordinating with site contacts for approvals and routing within the industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production-adjacent areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
