As an Access Control Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and communicate clearly with staff and guests while documenting key observations. Requirements

Possess a guard card and/or applicable license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail and/or mall location.
Monitor and control access at designated entrances, including greeting entrants, verifying authorization as required, issuing visitor credentials when applicable, and directing deliveries to the proper receiving area.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when needed and completing detailed reports.
Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, common areas, back-of-house spaces, loading docks, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
Observe cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems as assigned, and communicate suspicious activity, policy concerns, and/or customer service needs to the appropriate personnel.
