As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will support smooth operations by screening people and deliveries, checking badges and access permissions, monitoring assigned areas, and completing routine patrols and reports. You will stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents while providing friendly customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • A CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution facility.
  • Conduct screening operations for employees, visitors, and contractors, including verifying identification, managing access points, and performing bag, package, and/or magnetometer screening as required by post orders.
  • Monitor and document inbound and outbound activity such as visitor logs, credential checks, and vehicle entry or exit processing, escalating discrepancies through the chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing required reports and notifying appropriate internal personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
