About The Position

As a Security Officer - Act 235 Armed Driver Patrol in Malvern, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

  • Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have Act 235 qualification for Pennsylvania only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Carry and maintain issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, state and local laws, and site post orders, including completing required inspections, documentation, and training.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques, coordinating with on-site management, and/or requesting law enforcement or medical support when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the interior, exterior, and perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Control access through designated entry points by verifying identification, following visitor management procedures, screening deliveries as required, and completing detailed security-related reports and incident documentation.
