Job Description As a Security Officer - Alarm Response Patrol in Honolulu, HI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support students, faculty, staff, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication, reporting concerns and documenting activity. Requirements
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access concerns, disturbances, and requests for assistance.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, common areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor and report security-related concerns such as unsecured doors, malfunctioning lights, suspicious behavior, and hazardous conditions, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Complete detailed patrol logs and incident reports, and support campus operations by directing individuals to appropriate resources and/or helping coordinate response with local authorities when needed.
