Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed - Auto Site in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading auto manufacturing location as a patrol armed officer. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and concerns with clear communication and customer service. This post requires an Armed Guard Card or License and a valid driver’s license, supporting an agile, reliable, and integrity-driven team culture.

Requirements

  • An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing and/or industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and communicating updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of production areas, yards, parking lots, loading docks and the perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and direct traffic and deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Operate site systems such as radios, CCTV and alarm panels when assigned, complete shift logs and incident reports, and support law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
