About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Campus Patrol Driver in Nashville, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location supporting a correctional environment. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear, professional communication. This is an armed and driving post requiring an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. Bring integrity and teamwork to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team.

Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government corrections location.
  • Conduct armed, regular, and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter features to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor and control access points by verifying identification and/or authorizations, screening for prohibited items as directed, and maintaining appropriate entry and exit logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance, following post orders, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete required reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate timely information to supervisors and/or site representatives using radios, phones, and/or written channels.
