Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Field Patrol in Kissimmee, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to calls for service, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors while providing strong customer service. This post requires an armed guard card or license and reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter, observing and reporting unusual activity or conditions that may help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor check-in processes, and/or directing visitors to appropriate areas in accordance with site rules.
  • Complete required reports and logs, communicate with site leadership and/or local first responders as needed, and support investigations by preserving observations and relevant information.
