As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine mobile and on foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with calm, clear communication. This is an armed and driving post requiring an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. Bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every interaction.

Requirements

  • 2+ Years' Law Enforcement/Military Police/Corrections Experience.
  • Armed Guard Card/License.
  • 21+ Years of Age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of commercial properties, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation when appropriate and timely notification to site management and/or public responders.
  • Control access to buildings and restricted areas by verifying identification, monitoring entry points, and documenting deliveries and/or contractor activity as required.
  • Complete detailed security-related reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate noteworthy conditions to supervisors and/or property management.
