As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will conduct routine mobile and on-foot patrols, perform armed access control checks, and respond to incidents with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential common areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and address policy violations through presence, verbal direction, and timely escalation as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and public responders when required.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate key information during shift handoffs.
