About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Goldsboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and emerging situations with calm, professional communication. This is an armed and driving post, requiring an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. You will represent our agile, reliable, and innovative team while acting with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Have 6 months or more armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to Allied Universal clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for assistance and/or coordinating with on-site personnel as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, including buildings, grounds, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access at designated posts by checking identification, monitoring visitor and vehicle entry, and documenting authorized access per site requirements.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity reports, and communicate relevant information to the supervisor and/or site contacts.
