As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government and military-focused location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to issues with calm, clear communication. This post requires an Act 235 qualification and a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting mobile patrol and rapid assistance. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Act 235 Qualification is required in Pennsylvania only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and/or visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, including when appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access at entry points as assigned by verifying identification and/or authorization, monitoring visitor processing, and documenting access activity per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting law enforcement and/or medical response when required and following use of force guidelines.
  • Complete detailed reports and maintain logs of patrols, incidents, and unusual observations, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts as needed.
