As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and a strong visible presence within a retail environment. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and respond to incidents as needed, all while carrying out your duties as an armed professional. Requirements

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement military or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a Level III armed certification if working in Texas.
• Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to observe and report any unusual or suspicious behavior.
• Work closely with store management and staff to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs and incident reports as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Carry and responsibly handle authorized firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines, responding to situations as required by post orders.
